The Biography of Biographies presents a work in progress that embodies all the fundamental stages of Marina Abramovic´'s life and work. She's an artist who has deeply affected the art of our times, with an extraordinary ability to revisit and reinterpret her own story through the use of performance as a form of visual art. This new "staging" of Biography-called The Biography Remix-has been carried out in collaboration with Michael Laub, a theater director who has maintained a close involvement with Abramovic´'s work and shares with her a deep personal trust. The performance is a poignant showcase in which Laub alternates and combines the events of Marina's life with her historical performances, providing a comprehensive overview of her career for those already familiar with her work, and an ideal intro-duction for audiences that haven't yet had the opportunity to meet her. It's not theater. It's not dance. It's not even video performance. Marina Abramovic´ and Michael Laub have developed a new relationship between visual art, per-formance and theater-a uniquely direct relationship that builds a work with great simplicity and beauty, which has the power to move, surprise and entertain.
