The volume collects the proceedings of the conference 'Islands in Dialogue (ISLANDIA)', held in Torino on 14th-16th November 2018. The 20 essays included are intended to facilitate a 'dialogue' between early career scholars researching the archaeology of Mediterranean islands. The many-sided nature of contents offered by these contributions encompasses most of the major and minor islands of the Mediterranean, from the Balearic Islands to Cyprus and deals with a variety of themes and research perspectives, including exchange networks, ancient tech- nologies, economics and production, settlement patterns, architecture, materials studies, social dynamics, ideological aspects, new approaches and methodologies. A preface by Luca Bombardieri (Universita? di Torino) and an afterword by Helen Dawson (Freie Universita?t Berlin) enrich the volume and provide with a valuable framework for the essays by discussing key-questions on and past and present perceptions of the Mediterranean and its islands.
