In order to meet the numerous request of the collectors of this series, we have dedicated the first part of the book to the quarries and extraction sites with the relative technologies and equipment. An unpublished classification publication has just been completed which will be ohle to clarify' the many definitions used up to now for the some type of "quarry system ". The topic is dealt with in its entirety starting from the initial research of the area to be quarried with the relative technical-economic considerations, up to the programmed re-use of the site at the end of its exploitation. The lay-out is carried out in a simple yet exhaustive and clear manner This technical part Is backed up by 12 drawings and 64 photos.
The second part illustrates with 78 hi9t definition photos the different types of Germon stone; a lenghty painstaking and difficult task due to the lack of organizations and institutes en the subject. We are therefore proud to present this complete collection of the photographs and technical information. The book consist a! 154 illustrations and have 180 pages. Five colours imprinted in shiny ort paper.
