I am always more convinced that Vincenzo Migliaro is the only artist who ever really painted Naples. Anyone wishing to delve into the Naples characterised by Salvatore di Giacomo, Nicola Amore, di Matilde Serao and the "Camorra" trials will find a response in the brutal, violent and disdainful works of Vincenzo Migliaro. Certainly more fulfilling, in terms of illustrative impact, than the first daguerrotypes and photographs which were set in the worst artistic taste. (Raffaello Causa)
