The architect Andrea Bruno was born in Turin in 1931. Alongside his university teaching, he stands out for his visionary ability expressed through drawings and sketches, giving new life and new functions to monuments and buildings subjected to the ravages of time or deliberate destructive acts. Particularly linked to Afghanistan, in 1974 he designed the Italian Embassy in Kabul; he is also a UNESCO consultant for the restoration and conservation of the artistic and cultural heritage, participating in numerous official missions especially in the Middle East and North Africa. Much more than a carnet de voyage, Bruno' s drawings (in the careful selection made here) are the graphic result of the very experience of a militant architect and dreamer, animated by a hopeful and never dormant ethical and meditated charge, along a wanderings that probably never ends.
