This English catalogue is part 5 in a series of catalogues from the collection of decorative arts of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Of all Dutch museums, the Rijksmuseum has the largest collection of tapestries tapistry woven objects for the interior such as table carpets, chair covers, cushions and fire screens, made especially in the Netherlands and in France from around 1400 up to 1780. They include the very best examples produced by tapestry weavers.
