A trip throughout the biological circuit of the active recycle, looking at the wise materials of a generous country, ready to offer a textual idea, a figurative escamotage, a conceptual key. When we speak of country or countryside, we think of agricultural, mechanics, electrical discards, constantly produced in a big estate or farm.
Imagine a forge where discards are divided according to the type of material, a place of utensils and machineries. Now think of Sergio Russo, who is able to manages these fragments with his gentle hands, and to work iron and wood with soft passion. His forge is located in the Lazio countryside, where the artist has built his extraordinary shelter.
Here, following the chromatic stories of the landscape, Sergio Russo develops his sinuous forms, his never casual colors, a collection of fragments coming from the landscape. Here a garden was born, it is a place between land art and visionary botany, an amazing corner between nature and artifice.
