The catalogue systematically gathers together furniture and other objects designed by architect Carlo Molino and executed for fitting out, shows and furnishing. Some of these pieces of furniture are still in the hands of the original owners, while others are now part of public and private collections. The specification sheets accompanying the photos of each piece describe the materials and techniques employed for realization, stating the number originally produced of each model, the principal dimensions and the name of the craftsman, specifying whatever mass production in recent times, the collections of which it was or is currently part, the temporary or permanent shows in which it was exhibited, any auctions at which it was presented, the bibliography of reference and the iconography.
Rossella Colombari, born in Turin of a family of antique dealers, has been interested in the work of Carlo Molino since 1979. The year 1981 marked the first show dedicated to Carlo Molino; exhibitions were held in Paris, New York and at the Darmstadt Museum. In 1992, a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the Turin architect was staged at "Spazio Gigli Sozzani" in Milan.
