This volume has been published to mark the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Tuscan painter, a volume devoted to one of the key figures of the Italian renaissance: his life and his successful career are analysed in depth in a long illustrative essay where the author concisely and coherently deals with the most significant facets of this artist. The volume is richly illustrated in colour and completed with descriptions and tables on each single work. A small sized volume that combines the new elegant, easy-to-handle format with in-depth analysis and rich colour reproductions.
