Given the increasing importance that the restoration of .stone materials has token on, this eighth volume of the collection begins with o study of the preliminary operations to be carried out. .Starting from the analysis of the genesis of rock, the causes of the deterioration of stone are then listed from all chemical, physical and biological aspects, as well as regarding the choice of materials and relative waking methods.
The text was drawn up in a thorough yet simple and extremely clear manner. The technical port contains 16 drawings and 52 photographs. The second port presents hi9h-definition photographs of 175 types of stone of Brozilian origin. The work carried out for the verification of all o! the active quarries and the definition of the materials' commercio1 names was lengthy and complex.
The book has 243 illustrations and it consists or 216 pages. The publication was printed with the utmost core and definition using the four-colour process on 1%-coated glossy paper.
