Valeria Magli is one of the most anomalous and complex Italian artists in recent decades. She is known as a dancer, choreographer, actress, and interpreter of her own work on video; as a visual artist she produces intriguing works of art; as a writer and editor she has participated in such poignant cultural adventures as Alfabeta, and has often bridged the cultural gap between France and Italy. Her dance is equally stimulating and deviant: in some sense it is a fractured form, a scale reproduction of the complexity of her cultural interests. This volume, the first published book on Valeria Magli and her work, presents a rich photographic collection of scenes from her productions for the stage.
