Among the greatest European painters of the twentieth century, Fausto Pirandello (Rome, 1899 - 1975) has an unquestionable relevant position. With a father who had plenty of "space" in his life, Calogero Fausto grew up with an eager, shy and reserved spirit but, at the same time, extraordinarily aware of what was happening around him. The book includes a selection of works from 1923 to the '50s, from Realism to works influenced by Metaphysics, from works created in Paris to those made in Rome during the interwar period. In all his works, Fausto expressed his thought and creativity in an intense and poetic way, systematically subverting the rules and conventionalities of traditional painting.
