Over twenty years after the exhibition held at Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Metafisica, organized by Ester Coen, promises to be an event of enormous significance, focusing on a cultural phenomenon that had a very deep influence on European and American art. From the paintings of de Chirico to the suggestive and beautiful works of such great artists as Carrà, Miró, Picasso, Ernst, Magritte, Dalí, Gorky, Tanguy, Morandi, De Pisis and Sironi, who, fascinated by the atmosphere of de Chirico's works, created images that were to have a profound impact on future generations as well. Several captivating sculptures by Brancusi and Giacometti will also be on show. The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity to see paintings of extraordinary emotional power, rarely shown in Italy and loaned by prestigious international museums and institutions.
