The journal "Studi neoclassici" brings together and publishes the results of the activities promoted by the Research Institute for the Study on Canova and Neoclassicism, in Bassano del Grappa, which operates in close collaboration with the 'National edition' of the works of Antonio Canova. The activities are organized within 'Weeks of Advanced Studies', meetings representing the time of scientific verification of the work of the Institute: the 'Weeks' offer scholars a wide international selection of studies on a specific topic chosen by the Scientific Committee of the Institute and entrusted to two curators who prepare the days and presentations. The 'Weeks' highlight the high quality of contributions, by a succession of leading specialists on the subject and on the historical period or theme chosen. The formula of connecting various artistic and cultural experiences, from literature to art history, history and the other arts, offers a complete picture, not merely a specialist's view of the subject. Working on multiple fronts allows scholars and readers to access the general topic more completely and rigorously. Therefore, the journal aims the attention of scholars in various fields of research, from history to literature, from art history to that of collecting and costumes.
