The image of matter in Leonardo D'Amico's work should not be considered at the expense of formal structure but rather as a progressive informal aniconia. This is the artist's reason for developing abstraction, not a renunciation, if not in part, of his original tendency of representation but rather maintaining his original impression fragmented by contemporary abstractism and charging them with tension through precise emotional messages. On the other hand, his informal dotting, that gravitate in a cosmic orbit, should be viewed in the context of natural phenomenons and/or climate, as defined by the term Abstràhere, intended unequivocally as taking from -not interfering with the development of forms, not eliminating, not taking away, especially not removing one's inner feeling of the "other" as "real".
