Works by Cantarini from public and private collections of the city are housed in the Civic Museum, as well as some hitherto unseen works. Particularly noteworthy is the group of paintings selected from the Banca dell'Adriatico picture gallery which includes undisputed masterpieces such as the celebrated Portrait of Eleonora Albani Tomasi. Equally notable are the Cantarinis from the Fondazione della Cassa di Risparmio di Pesaro, along with additions from private collections. Recent discoveries surrounding the two paintings from the destroyed Oratorian church, the Mary Magdalene and Repentant Saint Joseph, todayat the Civic Museum, cause one to reflect upon the legacy of Cantarini in the artistic climate of 17th century Pesaro, bringing attention to certain lesser known artists such as Domenico and Giovanni Peruzzini, Giovanni Luffoli, Giulio Cesare Begni, Giovanni Venanzi, subsequently demonstrated by an extraordinary group of unpublished drawings, also by the maestro, from the Fondo Antaldi of the Oliverian library of Pesaro.
In the church of Sant'Agostino, right in front of the house where Cantarini was born, the visit ends with the young vibrant Blessed Rita altar-piece.
