The jewel is one of the most immobile of the objects that accompany our lives and bodies: the production techniques and the materials are the same as in the past, as are the forms and types. The end of ideologies and the hybridisation of contexts in the 20th-century radically altered the perception and meaning of the jewel, encouraging the semantic, material and value liquidity that is a characteristic of the contemporary.
