2016 isn't just an ordinary year: in fact, it coincides with the 90th anniversary of Ducati, founded on 4 July 1926, almost like a dream, thanks to three brothers - Adriano, Bruno and Marcello Cavalieri Ducati - supported by their father, Antonio. We can rightly call the history of Ducati a dream, because this adventure began in a dark workshop located in the centre of Bologna, on Via Collegio di Spagna 7, when the workforce consisted of two labourers and a secretary. Not even the Ducati brothers probably would have imagined what the future held in store for them and that small workshop. Today, this shop has become a factory of emotions in the shape of motorcycles, the sheer and utmost expression of refined technique, unmistakable design and passion.
The essence of Italian style is manifest on each creation. Curvy forms, slender and seducing shapes of timeless style, which for ninety years now has represented the dream of motorcyclists around the world and narrates a story crowned by countless successes, regarding both technique and sports.
The history of Ducati is now narrated in a photographic book, which covers the style and design of the motorcycles that wrote it.
